Better News 2026/03: AMPER CONFERENCE, NETWORKING, AND SHARING PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

Our collaboration with TENNECO dates back to 2018. The “courting” began a year earlier, but entering the pure automotive sector is often complicated. From those first steps, when our company was basically at the very beginning of its journey and didn’t have as much experience, we have come a long way. Today, our cooperation is highly developed, and the company’s management cannot imagine their daily work without our solutions and approach to digitalization. We help and provide data every step of the way, every single minute. Whether it concerns production lines, individual machines, maintenance, or internal logistics. And it’s not always just about software.

Thanks to the years of experience our colleagues have in production management and their roles in senior positions across many manufacturing companies, we are a valuable partner in process management and workshop tool implementation as well. We are delighted to be partners with TENNECO in Dačice and look forward to the next fruitful developments ahead of us, whether in internal logistics, quality, or energy management.

AMPER 2026: CONFERENCE, NETWORKING, AND SHARING PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

This year’s AMPER 2026 once again connected the world of trade fairs, conferences, and informal networking. To revitalize the trade fair program this year, the Smart Industry section was introduced, and we would like to thank Ilona Pawerová, Lukáš Smelík, and the other organizers for putting it together. The Smart Industry platform had its own booth at AMPER, where you could meet not only us but also other technology companies from the world of digitalization and production process automation.

The program also included the Smart Industry AMPER Edition 2026 conference, which presented the Smart Industry platform, of which our company, Better Industry, is a member. This conference builds on the successful editions from 2024 and 2025, while also serving as a teaser for the autumn continuation in Plzeň, which we are already looking forward to.

As part of the program, we had the opportunity to share our long-term collaboration with Federal-Mogul Valvetrain from the Tenneco group. Our presentation on “The Never-Ending Process of Digitalization” showed that manufacturing digitalization is not a one-time project, but a continuous journey. The audience’s response confirmed to us that many other companies are facing similar challenges.

Although AMPER is not the primary platform for a company of our type, we brought home several interesting and valid business contacts from the event. However, the side effect of the whole event was even more valuable – networking and sharing experiences with partners across the Smart Industry platform. What about our participation in AMPER 2027? We are leaving that open for now. What is certain, though, is that spring is full of other inspiring meetings – whether at CSPU (Czech Productivity and Innovation Association) events or other professional and informal occasions.

DEVELOPMENT NEWS:

The Current Status functionality takes operational production management one step further. It gives you an immediate, real-time overview of what is happening in production across the entire enterprise. You can see the status of machines, their performance, and operator engagement without unnecessary data searching.

At first glance, you have access to:

  • How many machines are currently producing, idle, or in alarm status
  • Current OEE and TEEP per shift
  • Logged-in operators on individual machines
  • Priority equipment designation
  • Status “beacon” for quick visual orientation

A major advantage is flexibility; the machine cards are not fixed but adapt to your specific production and the data you have available. Furthermore, data can be easily imported via REST API.

The functionality can be further expanded to include, for example:

  • Additional production data based on machine capabilities (technical parameters, quality, performance indicators)
  • Display of the supervisor responsible for a specific piece of equipment
  • Integration of production routing slips directly into the machine card
